The ad-hoc Friends of Sauk Creek group in West Madison asks for your help to circulate petitions BY SEPT. 6 opposing the over-engineered plans for the reconstruction of Sauk Creek and the removal of thousands of trees. The City Council is scheduled to meet that day to consider funding for the estimated $8-million project, which includes many changes, including a new culvert under Tree Lane on the westside of the development that jeopardizes many trees.
Here are the petitions that you can download and circulate to get signatures from your neighbors. The bike trail petition can be signed by any resident of Dane County. The Sauk Creek reconstruction can be signed only by residents of Madison.
Please return them by Sept. 6 to neighbors Gwen Long or Susie Bruegman. The city needs the original copies. Out of privacy concerns, the Friends of Sauk Creek ask you to please email Gwen of Susie and ask for the addresses where you can deliver them:
